I hear the rain droplets dripping from the tree leaves onto the ground. An eerie mist in the air produces a crisp fall chill. The rain has stopped leaving everything fully plump and saturated. A radiant glow of yellow, orange, and red explodes against the gray skies. I fully embrace a moment like this as I gaze across my garden and recognize the collaboration of I and nature.
Week 43 recap: As fall shows her colors, the garden tasks get a break.
- Shopping and ordering supplies for my caterpillar tunnel.
Plans for week 44:
- Build hoops and assemble my caterpillar tunnel.
- Divide and repot Boston fern.
- Prune Life’s Little Pleasures rose bush.
- Block up foxglove and start hardening off.
- Shell seeds.
Embracing this phase of silence and gratitude to my garden, I am learning to be flexible, straying from plans and allowing nature to display her intent in the stillness.
Thanks for being here,
Lelo
