Week 46 recap + 47 plans

I'm still dealing with the "stuff" I tried to sell at our Garage Sale last week. I've been working on this project for three weeks now. We've dropped off five loads of clothes and housewares to a donation center. One load of trash went to the landfill, and we took another load of furniture to Husband's work, where he will give it to his crew. The accumulation of stuff makes me crazy; it brings up emotions of being overwhelmed, disordered, and angry. I don't like my closets, drawers, and cabinets overflowing. In the future, I will prioritize changing my habits to bring them into my house in the first place.

The trees in our backyard have glimmered beautiful shades of yellow and orange for days. I couldn't get enough of them, recording sunrise timelapse and videos to capture their fleeting beauty. One day this week, they dropped most of their leaves, and rain was in the forecast. Saturday, we got up and went to work, mulching and dumping the mulched leaves in various flower beds around the property. The mulched leaves will aid as a mulch, covering the soil, protecting roots, and decomposing, creating a nutrient-rich soil. It is a dirty, dusty, and back-breaking job but worth the effort in savings and sustainability.

A dream of mine has been to grow my own Christmas trees, and while I haven't convinced Husband of the idea, the next closest thing is to visit a tree farm. Owasso Christmas Tree and Berry Farm is a family-owned farm that has been growing and sculpting Christmas trees for decades. They offer pre-cut trees of the traditional fir varieties, but they also have a cut-your-own option where you can hunt the farm for your perfect tree. Talk about fresh.
